Application for our Internship Program:

Summary: Our Internship Program will teach how to effectively communicate, help, work with and connect with all types of clients with all types of mental illness under the supervision of Systemic Psychotherapy, LLC at our two practices in Connecticut.

Interns will:

  • Learn different techniques for psychotherapy such as: family therapy, complex trauma techniques ( trauma systems, havening) psychodynamic techniques (Jungian especially), mindfulness techniques to decrease anxiety, and neo- Freudian techniques for engagement based on Karen Horney and Irvin Yalom’s approach to relational issues in psychotherapy.

  • Learn how to work and connect with clients and how to help clients with different levels of trauma, mental illness and current struggles.

  • Learn through dealing will real life scenarios where they practice the actions of dealing with a real client.

  • Be placed with a clinician to monitor them once prepared to work with 1-2 clients.

Level: Novice in real-life experience but educated in Psychology and Psychotherapy working on a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.

Job Shift: undisclosed, Part-time (15-20hr’s per week)

 

Full-Time Clinicians:

Summary: Full time clinicians work with patients under the terms, supervision and with Systemic Psychotherapy, LLC at our two practices in Connecticut where we do psychotherapy to heal and help all types of clients with all mental illnesses.

Full-time clinicians will:

  • Conduct psychological assessments

  • Work in Treatment planning and discharge planning with clients and SP

  • Be paired with 5-8 clients to work with on a weekly biases.

  • Work with individuals, groups, families and institutions

  • Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.

  • Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and profession manner.

  • Work collaboratively with other clinicians and interns.

  • Will be responsible to monitor and/or work with at minimum one Intern.

Level: Experienced with a Ph.D., Psy.D. or Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.

Job Shift: undisclosed, is full time (40hr’s per week)


Part-Times Clinicians:

Summary: Part-time Clinicians work with patients under the terms, of supervision and with Systemic Psychotherapy, LLC at our two practices in Connecticut where we do psychotherapy to heal and help all types of clients with all mental illnesses.

Part-time clinicians will:

  • Conduct psychological assessments

  • Work in Treatment planning and discharge planning with clients and SP

  • Be paired with 2-4 clients to work with on a weekly basis.

  • Work with individuals, groups, families, and institutions

  • Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.

  • Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work collaboratively with other clinicians and interns.

  • Will be responsible to monitor and/or work with at minimum one Intern.

Level: Licensed Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
